This Privacy Policy sets out how ARJU (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and looks after your personal information when you use https://arju.co.uk.

Information we collect

We may collect account details (name, email, password hash), profile information, booking and payment metadata (processed by Stripe), messages you send on the platform, and basic usage data needed to operate and improve the service.

Freelancer applications

If you register interest in ARJU's freelancer network, we collect professional information you submit — such as your name, contact details, role, postcode, travel radius, introduction, experience, rates, portfolio links, photos of your work and related consents — and we store a password hash so you can sign in and view your profile. We use this to review applications, develop freelancer profiles, match you by location, and connect you with relevant vendor opportunities. We do not collect identity documents, right-to-work evidence, bank details or other sensitive personal data at this stage. A profile you submit yourself is not made public without your knowledge.

Unclaimed freelancer profiles

Some freelancer listings are compiled from publicly available professional profiles (for example a public website or portfolio). These listings are labelled as unclaimed and state that the information is sourced from publicly available professional profiles. They do not mean the person has joined or endorsed ARJU. We do not publish guessed contact details. If a listing is about you, you can claim it or ask us to correct or remove it through our contact form.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide marketplace and planning features, process bookings and memberships, communicate about your account, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Marketing emails are sent only where you have given separate consent — agreeing to the privacy policy for a freelancer application is not the same as opting in to marketing.

Sharing

We share data with service providers such as Stripe (payments), email delivery, and hosting. Vendors and customers may see each other’s relevant contact or booking details when required to fulfil an enquiry or booking. We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law, then delete or anonymise it.
